Topic: Living at peace with cats.

Main idea: Why and how we should live peacefully with cats and the advantages of doing that.

Main idea1: why we have to live peacefully with cats.

Topic sentence: why we have to live peacefully with cats because if we try to understand them, we will find the goods in them.

1. The information I found why people don't like cats.

People don’t like cats because many people think cats are negative because they like to hide in dark places. For the reason, people can’t really know what kinds of lives they lived, and people always afraid of what they don’t know. That's why people don't like cats.

But the reason why cats like to hide in dark places is because they feel more comfortable in there. If people try to understand them, they will find out that cats are optimistic actually.

2. John's story which shows cats can be easily controlled if we treat them we'll and love them.

Only five days, he changed a lot. Just because we let him out all the time and gave him enough food to eat and water to drink. We didn’t do much right? But what we got from him is much more than we did to him. Our feedback was his meek side, and that’s enough for everyone who loves him.

3.Xiao shun death made Da fu sad can show cats are not hard to understand. They are just like human, and they have emotions, too.

He stayed in the bucket all night and didn’t eat anything. Da shun was walking around us. Da fu ‘s behavior made all of the people there felt sorry for him. Even my mom, who hates all the animals can’t help but believe that he was really heartbroken.

1. Don't  misunderstand them. Take hydrophobia(狂犬病)for example, the cats in the park have already got a vaccine so they are safe. But if you don't know that, you might think they are dirty and mistreat them.

2. Not to chase after them. You might frighten them.

Many kids will chase after the cats or make some noises on purpose to scare them while I am playing with them. And the cats will run away  immediately. I think those kids want to play with the cats too. But they don’t know the appropriate way to get along with them.

3. You can take some toy to play with them(just as the post I post, a little girl played with Da fu)

I think the fastest way to get close to them is to play with them. I saw a little girl and his brother used a toy to play with Da Fu. In the beginning, Da Fu was afraid of them, but he played with them happily in the end.

Main idea 3: what can you learn if you live peacefully with them.

Topic sentence: cats are actually cute, if you treat them well, you can be happier and carefree.

1. I go to see them everyday after school. No matter how tired I am, I will be happier and energetic after seeing them.

1.      Cats can release your stress better than dogs. Some searches indicated that “meow’s ” frequency is more likely to people’s ears.  

2.      Cats are natural alarm clocks. If you don’t wake up on time, your cats won’t let you sleep. And of course you can’t “turn them off.”

3.      You can learn to be diligent because you have to clean up

4.      Research form England indicated that those who keep cats are more clever tanr keep dogs because you don’t have to spend so much time on them.

5.      You can also help the environment! If you keep a cat, you can discharge less greenhouse gas(溫室氣體)than keep a dog.

6.      Cats can help you become more attractive! Research shows that 90 percent of single women think the man who keeps cats is more impressive because they are more sensitive and thoughtful.

7.      Keeping a cat is good for your heart! When you fondle cats, it can help you clam down. Researches indicated that compared with those who keep cats, those who don’t keep cats are more likely to have heart attack.

8.      Cats can help you catch flies, too. If you keep a cat, you don’t have to buy  insecticides.

What Hazel and I talked about

Hazel and I talked about my main idea—Try to live peacefully with cats.

Hazel asked me to think why people don’t like cats? Maybe it has something to do with superstition or ancient legend.

So I look up some information about it.

Many people think cats are negative because they like to hide in dark places. For the reason, people can’t really know what kinds of lives they lived, and people always afraid of what they don’t know. That's why people don't like cats.
But the reason why cats like to hide in dark places is because they feel more comfortable in there. If people try to understand them, they will find out that cats are optimistic actually.

My topic statement: What I have found in these cats.
My main idea: We should try to understand these cute but mysterious creautes and be nice to them.

Why I choose this topic?

Because I love cats.

What do I want to share in my final presentation?

1.      I want to share the stories that happens between me and the cats.

In the books I read before, the authors usually wrote about the cats’ emotion by his or her imagination to attract the readers. I think I can do my project in that way, too.

Of course authors were all mention about their own feelings and wrote sincerely, that’s important, too. And don’t forget the interaction!

2.      The conversations between the couple who have fed these cats for fourteen years.

I think I’m not going to interview them formally, just talk to them like chatting with a friend. What we talk about is always about cats, so I think I don’t need to “interview” them. I post some conversations between as in the posts before, I don’t know if they are ok.

Where are the cats?

In the park near my house.

There are about six to seven cats in the park, every cats has its own name( named by the mother of cats.)and its own personality.

How do I do this topic?

I will go see these cats in the park everyday, and record what I see. And sometimes I will talk to the couple and write down what we talked about. Of course I have read some books to help me describe these cats funnier.

I think I would let some audience erase the dad memories of cats by my speech. Every time when I go to the park, some strangers would tell me not approach these cats because they are dirty or they have hydrophobia(狂犬病). But actually they are not that dirty(at least you won’t get sick if you wash your hands)and they don’t have hydrophobia.(or I would be the first person who dead in hydrophobia)

The reason why I love cats

I think the biggest reason that I love cats is their personality.

Many people said that cats are mysterious and arrogant so they don’t like cats.

But in my opinion, this is the most attractive speciality of cats is their unfriendly.

Let’s talk about my personality first. I like to get alone and become friends with people, but I don’t want to be friends with EVERYONE.

If I pay more attention to someone, I hope he or she can also treat me better than others. For example, I don’t want my boyfriend to  Maybe, I want to be different form others in my mind haha.

Cats just fit in with my requirement. If you want to be friend of a cat, you have to spend time on him or her, once he or she is willing to intimate you, he or she will be very nice to you but ignore others. That made me feel proud of myself.

Beware of cats!

 Today is a sorrowful day.

小熊 has gone to see his maker last night, at 6:00 p.m, because of a car accident.
We are all sad, but 大福 is the saddest.

Mother of the cats said it was 大福 that bring 小熊 here. They are best friend.
小熊 used to sleep on 大福's belly when he was still alive.
大福 looks really absent-minded, our hearts bleed for him.
If cats had tears, I think he would have cried him out.

How can I describe the feeling?
Yesterday, I went to see them at about 5:45 p.m., and he was hit by a car at about 6:00 p.m.
Just 15 minutes, then he left us, forever.
Things could change in every minute.
There's a saying," Never is too old to learn.", but it might be too late for you to give your love to your beloved one.
I think I should express my love to those who love me, they could leave anytime.

I drew a picture to remember him.
Thank you for teach me such a meaningful lesson.

In the beginning, she wrote about her pet cats.
When she wrote that her cat died, I can't stop crying.
"這個世界甚麼都可以忍，只有死亡不能忍。但，貓妹真的強行隱忍，在我期末忙亂失序的生活中，貓妹一息尚存，淡漠的迎接朝陽，目送黃昏，直到課程結束的那個周末，我微微詫異貓妹的神情有別往日，我還特意為她拍了一幀照片。事隔多年，我才知道，那種神情在人類世界我們稱之為彌留。"

I think the author considers theses cats as her family, so that she could write such touching words to record her cats death.

強強's story

This time, I am not going to talk about the cats in the park.
His name is 強強, he is not the stray cats, he is the cat my grandma kept.

This summer vacation, I went to my grandparents' house in Penghu as usual, but there was something different, my grandma have kept a cat since May.
When he first came to my uncle's clinic, he was really small so my aunt and uncle kept him at my grandma's house.

Honestly, he wasn't happy at all.

My grandma thought he was naughty and she didn't have times to take care of him all the time so she put him into the cage.

When I first saw him, he was in the cage yowling and he looked hungry.
So I let him out of the cage and eat something but he started to bite everyone in the living.

The first two days, he attacked whoever tried to touch him and looked anxious and frightened.
Me and my dad thought that's because my grandma didn't treat him well he didn't trust human.
So we would let him out secretly when my grandma was not home.

After three days, things became better.

He would let me stroke him for a while, and he would stayed in the sofa quietly.
And he didn't garb us of course.

I want to say PLEASE take good care of them with love and try to understand their feeling.
強強 was really naught before, but he became tame just in three days!
If you treat him well, he will treat you well, too.

Now I am in Taipei, but I still miss him, hope he could grow happily forever.

This book is about the author he have taken pictures of cats for 15 years! I think maybe it can solve my problem (My speech might be boring for those who don't like cats.) because the author wrote nothing but the cats, and he attract the readers successfully. I think I should learn from him.

This book is about how to make cards with cats on them. I choose this because I always want to draw a lot of things with catsヾ(*´∀｀*)ﾉ, this book might help me.
Maybe I can design some little cards to the audiences to let them feel how cute these little animals are.

This book is about the stray cat the author picked,貓小太 . The most special thing is that 貓小太 just has two legs. Let's see how do they get along with each other.

This book contains 30 coffee shop which have cats. Maybe, we could take a rest in one of them and enjoy the beautiful day. Also, he wrote about how did he get along with these cats.

This book is about the touching story happened on the stray cats.

TNR

These days, people are afraid of cats and dogs because of the hydrophobia(狂犬病).
So some of the neighborhoods post something about not feeding the cats, beside that post is this picture it shows how important TNR(街誘捕貓絕育回置方案) is.

But actually, the cats in the park have already inoculate the hydrophobia vaccine.
Besides, the cats are really easily controlled, they won't bite people.

Everyone has their own viewpoints, we can't request other.
But I think people should respect other species, after all, they don't harm us.
So we should give them a essential subsist right.

The cats' keeper

Yesterday, mother of the cats shared some difficulties of feeding the cats.

Mother of the cats told me  that sometimes the people in our community will feel unhappy about what she had done because they don't want so many stray cats in our park.
But mother of the cats feel wronged about this because she had already ligatured all the cats.

She said, the number of the cats is getting fewer and fewer, perhaps one day, we can't see any cats in the park.
Some stupid kids still scare the cats by screaming or chasing them.

If we wanted to see these cute cats in the future, we must take good care of them.

I hope one day, I can be the cats' keeper like the mother of the cats.

My topic

I'm a cat lover.

In the small park near my home there are a lot of cats.
I have taken care of the cats there since I was little.
Cats are just like my true friends, I often pour out my heart to them because they are good listeners and they won't tell anyone what I said for sure.

One day, I met a special person, we call him "A father of cat."
He and his wife feed the cat EVERYDAY, nothing can stop them.
They don't have children because they want to concentrate on their cats.

So I decided to ask them some questions and write or draw something about the cats everyday.
Please give me some advice.
